DAY MAN settled two wide then along the rail off the pace, moved up quickly on the backstretch, chased along the rail then loomed two wide turning for home, drew alongside FLASHY FRITZ and took a bump from that rival midstretch, then shook off the contact and overhauled the runner-up late. FLASHY FRITZ bobbled a bit leaving the gate but still came away quickly, hustled clear and moved inside, set all the pace to the stretch, drifted out and bumped DAY MAN midstretch and was outfinished in the last sixteenth. CLOSING TIME chased four wide to the far turn, took aim three wide with a quarter mile remaining, flattened out in the final furlong and managed to hold third. LEE'S BABY BOY trailed five wide into the first turn then cut to the inside, advanced while moving from the rail to the two path on the far turn, tipped out at the top of the stretch, churned on for a minor award but failed to threaten. UNION SECRETS broke a step slow, traveled near the back on the inside to the far turn, eased out to the three path around the bend and passed tired rivals. THREE PUTT raced up close in the two path, stalked between rivals into the far turn, weakened around the bend and faded in the lane. MAMA GLOWS climbed along early while moving to the two path, raced outside a rival at the back, asked right handed on the far turn and passed tired rivals. CONVERGENCE broke a step slow, unhurried four then three wide on the first turn, chased outside a rival leaving the backstretch, altered in from behind a weakening rival at the five-sixteenths pole and was never a factor. MR. PIPPINS tracked three then two wide around the first turn, coaxed along on the backstretch, raced on the inside into the far turn, steered out and came four wide into the lane but had nothing left for the stretch run. PETRAKOS forwardly placed three wide early, chased three deep into the far turn, dropped back around the bend and tired.
