Footnotes
EGYPTIAN MAU (SAF) was off slow while bobbling at the start, unhurried after, moved to the inside for the turn, eased out to the three path, swung wide crossing the dirt, closed in steadily into deep stretch and overhauled the top pair in the final strides. PRACTICAL DREAM stalked from inside, tipped out a bit over the dirt, took the lead with a furlong remaining, dueled outside TAHINI into the final sixteenth holding a slim advantage but got overtaken by the winner approaching the wire. TAHINI sprinted to the front and set the tone early, saved ground through the turn, confronted by PRACTICAL DREAM entering the stretch, lost command at the eight pole, fought back gamely from inside but was outkicked by the top pair in the end. FAST GISELLE settled inside, shifted to the two path at the quarter pole, chased determinedly through the lane but finished evenly late. JANE AUSTEN laid off the pace in the beginning, chased outside the winner at the back into the turn, got forced nine wide crossing the dirt, kept trying through the stretch run and improved position. HOME GAME followed in range from off the rail, angled out crossing the dirt and lacked further response. VITALERA (CHI) raced up close to the outside of the pacesetter, chased two wide through the turn, got floated out a bit and bumped with GETTHEMONEY crossing the dirt, then faded out of contention. GETTHEMONEY attended the pace three deep, got bumped by VITALERA (CHI) running over the dirt and tired down the lane.
