Footnotes
VANCOUGAR tracked outside a rival in range, crept closer past the half-mile pole, rounded the bend in the two path, put a head in front at the eighth pole, cleared with a sixteenth remaining and held over the runner-up. THE RABBI bumped with outer rival leaving the gate, sat off the pace in the early going, gained two then three wide around the bend, moved out further in upper stretch, finished well but could not get by the winner. POTITO rated along the inside early, suffered a mild shuffle behind MUTT DILLIN on the turn, tipped out into the lane, finished willingly to earn the show honors. THIRTY TWO CHUNK raced up close outside a rival, applied pressure to the pacesetter into the turn, took the lead at the quarter pole, kicked clear shortly after, lost command at the eighth pole and flattened to fourth. SMILING TIZZY got bumped around at the start, trailed up the backstretch, went two wide into the turn, moved to the rail then tipped back out at the quarter pole, swung out into the lane and passed tired rivals. BOLT SUPREMACY settled inside, jumped a bit over shadows at the quarter pole, tipped out into the lane and weakened. MUTT DILLIN bumped with SMILING TIZZY at the start, sprinted clear and crossed over, took pressure leaving the backstretch, lost command at the quarter pole and retreated through the lane.
