Footnotes
BURNING RUBBER tracked off the rail then angled in leaving the backstretch, drew closer around the bend under urging, tipped off the fence at the top of the lane, chased under left-handed urging into deep stretch and overhauled the runner-up. RENO sped clear and steered across, showed the way along the fence through the turn, remained clear under a drive to midstretch, then got confronted by BURNING RUBBER in the last sixteenth and could not fend off the winner. B GRAYSON sat off the pace in the early going, raced on the inside then two wide around the bend, offered a mild response to urging and bested the rest. VINO AMANTE broke a bit slow and inward, raced well off the pace on the inside, eased out around the bend, spun three wide into the lane and got outkicked for the show honors. BENEFICIAL broke a bit slow from the far outside, raced outside a rival in mid-pack, found the rail on the turn and lacked the needed response when called upon. GOLDEN SURPRISE came away to a slow beginning, trailed two wide into the turn, moved to the inside with a quarter mile remaining, tipped out at the top of the lane and passed tired rivals. KIDDO LIGHT settled in mid-pack on the inside, got put in a bit tight by BENEFICIAL at the three-eighths pole, saved ground to the stretch and tired. SALIENT was closest in pursuit up the backstretch, went three wide around the bend, lugged out into the lane and was not persevered with.
