MAN O ROSE was closest in pursuit of the pacesetter in the early going, followed two wide through the turn, angled out crossing over the dirt, took over in upper stretch, carried a short lead into the final sixteenth and was able to hold on over a fast closing LOVESICK BLUES at the wire. LOVESICK BLUES raced outside a rival at the rear into the turn, trailed three wide into the lane, steered out widest in upper stretch, closed fast in deep stretch but just missed. BOOK SMART tracked along the inside through the turn, chased two wide into the lane, challenged the top pair from inside in upper stretch, drifted out midstretch and corrected at the sixteenth pole, lacked the needed late kick and held third. SHEA BRENNAN traveled inside LOVESICK BLUES at the back of the pack, had one rival beat turning for home, rallied up the fence but could not get by BOOK SMART for the show honors. SIR ROCKET raced near the back outside rivals early, moved into the two path for the turn, angled six wide crossing the dirt and needed to find more in the final furlong. FLYOVER sprinted clear and set the tone early, led along the inside around the bend, drifted out a bit crossing the dirt, lost command in upper stretch and weakened in the late stages. CALI CAT broke a length slow, settled off the pace, went three wide into the turn, moved into the two path then came four wide into the stretch and also weakened.
