BRITISH ISLES vied between rivals, put a head in front on the far turn, resisted through the lane and gamely prevailed. LAHAINA FLAVOR settled off the pace on the inside, brushed with outer rival early on the far turn, angled out leaving the bend, tipped out widest at the top of the stretch, closed well in deep stretch and missed. LAMMAS (GB) stalked the speed from the rail position, waited behind the leaders on the far turn while easing over to the two path, launched a bid between runners in upper stretch, fought into the final strides but failed to find the needed late kick. OLD PAL allowed to settle outside a rival towards the rear, suffered a mild shuffle behind HENRY ADAMS (IRE) and trailed around the clubhouse turn, angled to the inside then split foes to draw closer in the middle stages, brushed with LAHAINA FLAVOR at the three-eighths pole, chased two, three, then four wide around the bend, tipped out further at the top of the lane, finished well but needed to find the extra late punch. CITY EXILE (GB) stalked two wide around the first turn, roused and angled out on the second bend, came four wide into the stretch, challenged in the lane but got outkicked. PACKS A WAHLOP vied three deep in-hand in the opening stages, fought to upper stretch and weakened in the furlong grounds. PHOSPHORESCENCE (FR) took a short lead inside a pair of rivals early, lost command battling through the far turn, lost touch with BRITISH ISLES at the top of the stretch, got crowded a bit by LAMMAS (GB) shortly after and weakened through the lane. ALIGATO trailed the field on the inside then raced near the back of the pack, gained from the fence on the far turn, lacked room and had to check in upper stretch, altered out at the eighth pole and could not regain momentum. HENRY ADAMS (IRE) traveled in the two path near the back, trailed at the midway point, saved ground around the far turn and was never a factor. MANIATIC (IRE) broke a length slow, tracked three deep around the first turn, lost positions three then four wide on the second bend and came up empty in the drive.
