HALFWAY TO NOWHERE stalked from inside, roused while saving ground through the turn, challenged the leader from the fence midstretch, dueled into the final sixteenth and bested the runner-up, pulled up and unsaddled on the clubhouse turn and was transported off the track via equine ambulance. ELTONSINGSANOTHER sprinted clear and set the tone early, saved ground through the bend, came off the rail a bit at the top of the lane, challenged by HALFWAY TO NOWHERE midstretch and could not hold on. GOODNIGHT NELLIE stalked off the rail or outside a rival, chased two wide through the turn, moved out in upper stretch, chased within striking distance into deep stretch but could not summon the needed late kick. SHOP TILL YOU DROP chased three wide into the turn, asked two wide around the bend and failed to answer the call. STRANGE ADDICTION chased from off the pace two wide leaving the backstretch, tipped three wide around the bend and could not rally. MARIA TALLCHIEF trailed well off the rail, three wide on the turn and was never a factor. BIG SOIREE climbed a bit early then settled inside, lost ground under a ride around the bend and weakened in the drive.
