Footnotes
JOHNNY B controlled the pace from inside, drew away on the backstretch, held a diminished lead with a quarter mile remaining, asked right handed at the top of the stretch, switched to the left hand in the furlong and drew away once again. ROMANTICON stalked the lone speed from inside then came off the rail a bit around the first turn, chased a bit off the rail through the far turn, lacked the needed late kick to threaten the winner but was able to outduel INCA for second. INCA was closest in pursuit in the two path early, chased outside ROMANTICON into and around the far turn, also failed to produce a bid and got edged for the show honors. SPIDER JOHN reserved at the back and angled to the rail on the first turn, continued to trail along the fence into the second bend, two wide at the quarter pole, steered out in the stretch and never threatened. BIG TIME COACH settled in the two path, saved ground through the far turn and weakened down the lane.
