Footnotes
CLOUSEAU forwardly placed five then four deep around the first turn, raced outside the top pair up the backstretch, fought outside MEGA MOON past the three-eighths pole, put a head in front turning for home, cleared under hand urging, put to the right hand in the late stages and held off MIGHTY KAI in the end. MIGHTY KAI unhurried on the inside, coaxed along past the half-mile pole, gained while angling four wide around the far turn, came with late run to reel in the winner but ran out of ground. MEGA MOON showed the way inside rivals, held a short lead over CLOUSEAU past the three-eighths pole, lost the lead turning for home, fought to the eighth pole, then flattened to third. MAJESTIC PALISADES stalked four then three deep around the first turn between rivals, angled in at the four and half furlong mark, steered back off the rail on the far turn, driven three wide into the lane, kept trying to close the gap late but lacked the needed kick. JOINT VENTURE pressed the pace between rivals, got crowded a bit and paused nearing the three-eighths pole, moved over to the rail giving chase and weakened in the lane. RODRIGOKNOWS tracked three then two wide around the first turn, raced outside a rival into the second bend, started to weaken two then three wide on the far turn and tired in the stretch.
