Footnotes
PROOF HE GOES cleared quickly from outside and crossed over, saved ground through the turn, showed the way unchallenged into the final furlong and stayed clear to the wire. PRIME ARTIST (FR) stalked from inside, came under a ride on the turn, steered out to take aim at the leader in upper stretch but had to settle for second best. HENRY ADAMS (IRE) chased four deep early, remained widest through the turn and ran on to earn the show honors. CHAPTER ONE tracked from inside leaving the backstretch, fell out of range on the far turn, cut the corner into the lane and failed to rally. TRIPLE DIAMONDS took a bump from OPUS UNO leaving the gate, stalked in the two path then between rivals into and around the turn and weakened down the lane. OPUS UNO broke out and bumped, sat off the pace in the two path, ran up behind a rival and paused briefly at the eighth pole, moved to a clear path and could not rally. JALISCO hopped slightly at the start then got shuffled back early, trailed along the fence to the stretch, angled out and passed a tired rival. THROWTHEFIRSTPUNCH chased three deep to the stretch and faded.
