Footnotes
HIGH HULL GILL dueled from outside, fought head to head through the turn, shook free upper and held safely. CALVIN GRAHAM got shuffled early, chased from off the rail, three deep around the turn, four wide turning for home, put in a late run to gain second but could not get to the winner. FULLY FAVORABLE was antsy in the gate, chased off the rail, went three wide into the lane and lacked a bid. SWIFT APPEAL raced up close then started to climb at the half-mile, got hit from behind at the seven-sixteenths pole, saved ground through the turn, tipped out in upper stretch and earned minor award. ONE PUNCH WONDER battled for the lead from inside to the top of the lane, failed to keep up with the winner in upper stretch and weakened in the late stages. M C DREAMS gave chase from off the rail out of range, went two wide around the bend and weakened down the lane. TROJANS FOREVER trailed early then passed a troubled rival into the far turn, passed another foe while traveling four then five wide and passed another tired runner in the lane. SO CAL NOTTE dropped off the pace while racing greenly early, drifted in while trying to be corrected by the rider, went three wide into the lane and was never a factor. BEAT THE MAN tracked the leaders up the backstretch, chased along the fence around the bend and faded. FREDDIE BLASSIE hustled along early while dropping back, climbed then settled into stride, moved up and ran into the back of SWIFT APPEAL at the seven-sixteenths pole and could not get involved after. THERE WAS A STEWARDS' INQUIRY INVOLVING SWIFT APPEAL AND FREDDIE BLASSIE LEAVING THE BACKSTRETCH. FOLLOWING A REVIEW, THE STEWARDS RULED THERE WOULD NO CHANGE.
