UNRIVALED TIME reserved in the early going and moved inside, trailed up the backstretch, gained along the fence through the far turn, cut the corner into the stretch, chased behind PROLETARIAT into the final furlong, steered out the outside of the top pair midstretch and bid between into the last sixteenth, dug in gamely and edged PATH TO POWER (GB) for the victory. PATH TO POWER (GB) trailed outside UNRIVALED TIME early, had only that rival beat while staying off the rail in the middle stages, rounded the far turn in the two path, angled out into the stretch, rallied five deep and missed. ESSOS stalked the speed outside a rival, chased in the three path around the far turn, rallied under left then right handed urging, fought four deep between rivals in deep stretch and finished a game third. TRIBALISM (IRE) dueled from outside in the early going, lost touch with inner rival and stalked at the half-mile pole, drew alongside PROLETARIAT at the five-sixteenths marker, put a nose in front while drifting inward in upper stretch, gave the lead back to PROLETARIAT at the eighth pole, lost a shoe midstretch, battled between late and got outkicked. PROLETARIAT dueled inside TRIBALISM (IRE), cleared that rival at the half-mile pole, challenged by that rival again around the far turn, lost command in upper stretch, fought back to reclaim the lead with a furlong remaining, resisted into the last sixteenth and yielded grudgingly late. MELISMATIC (IRE) stalked the top pair from inside, chased along the fence through the far turn, tipped two wide at the top of the lane and flattened in the late stages.
