CAPTAIN CHOOCHIES showed the way unchallenged to the far turn, met the bid from AMERICAN GLORY (GB) at the quarter pole, battled down the lane and gamely prevailed. AMERICAN GLORY (GB) was closest in pursuit two wide then along the rail, latched onto to the leader with a quarter mile remaining, threw down with CAPTAIN CHOOCHIES in the drive but could not get by. MR. LEASURE unhurried in the early going on the inside, drew closer around the far turn, tipped out into the lane, showed late interest and closed the gap on the top pair. SKETCHY tracked the speed from the fence around both turns, chased in range to the sixteenth pole and could not produce a bid. SPEARFISH raced in the two path then found the rail traveling near the back, ran up behind a rival and had to steady near the three-eighths pole, had to pause when finding traffic at the quarter pole, cut to the inside and improved position in the stretch. CATHAL (IRE) trailed on the inside, advanced around the far turn from the fence, steered out at the top of the lane and failed to rally. OOBUBBAKAKAYO raced in mid-pack from the two path then along the rail, asked two wide on the far turn and weakened. THE OLD NINE (IRE) sat off the pace outside a rival, tipped three wide around the far turn and proved no menace.
