MEDICI raced up close in the two path while taking a bump from inside on the clubhouse turn, remained close through the middle stages, challenged HOUSE OF MISCHIEF on the far turn, battled down the lane and dug in to edge the runner-up. HOUSE OF MISCHIEF stepped to the front and controlled the pace on the inside, met the bid from MEDICI on the far turn, dueled through the lane and finished gamely in defeat. CHARLIE'S CURLIN bumped leaving the gate, stalked on the inside, pulled and shifted out to bump MEDICI on the clubhouse turn, followed next to the fence through the far turn, came off the rail into the lane, lacked the necessary response but was able to save third. ESSOS broke a bit slow, stalked three deep around the clubhouse turn, remained three wide to the stretch and missed third. KEAGMAN (IRE) settled along the rail, came under a ride on the far turn, cut the corner into the lane and failed to rally. SAHARIAN reserved in the two path, found the rail on the far turn and proved no menace. BIGGIEBIGGIEBIGGIE tracked in the two path, coaxed along around the far turn and weakened down the lane. RIO GRANDE bumped lightly with outer rival at the start, started to pull and became rank early, had to take up behind a rival on the first turn, chased three deep up the backstretch, remained three wide into the lane and could not rally. MENDEL'S TUNE broke a bit slow, coaxed along then got shuffled back when losing a clear path prior to the first turn, trailed next to the rail, raced inside rivals on the backstretch, continued at the back while saving ground to the stretch and passed tired rivals. NEZHA raced three wide near the back into the first turn, got floated out a bit by RIO GRANDE around the bend, returned to the three path, raced outside rivals in the middle stages, tipped out into the lane and was never a factor.
