BLAME IT ON K J broke a beat slow, chased along the inside and then just off the inside from near the rear of the field, came under encouragement at the five-sixteenths marker, angled four to five wide into upper stretch, rallied bulling his way through when splitting rivals just inside the eighth pole getting a shoulder on each of ROSSBEIGH and LOBBYIST, seized narrow command a sixteenth out, then gamely fended off LOBBYIST to the wire. LOBBYIST chased two to three wide from mid pack coming under coaxing at the five-sixteenths pole, angled eight wide into upper stretch, rallied to be heads apart for command when bumped by the top one splitting him and ROSSBEIGH just inside the eighth pole before taking the front a sixteenth out, dug in fighting on to the finish but was ultimately denied on the line. ROSSBEIGH raced along the inside through the first turn and then two to three wide thereafter, came under encouragement near the quarter pole, angled six wide into upper stretch, got bumped in the hindquarters nearing the eighth pole by BOURBONCENTRIC before taking command a furlong out, got bumped soon after when BLAME IT ON K J split he and LOBBYIST bulling his way through a tight seam to split them nearing the sixteenth marker, dug in and fought on to the end. FREE REFILLS saved ground at the tail of the field, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, angled four to five wide into upper stretch and offered up a mild kick. BEAU CHEVAL struck the off side stall at the start, raced three wide through the first turn, chased four then three wide under a ride from the five-sixteenths marker, went nine wide into upper stretch, offered up a bid a furlong out, improved position to the end. BOURBONCENTRIC chased just off the inside and then along the inside coming under a ride with five-sixteenths to go, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, tipped out three wide forcing ZEUS LIGHTNING to check off his heels and bumping ROSSBEIGH in the hind end, got carried in slightly by ROSSBEIGH soon after and weakened in the late stages. OUT OF THE FOG bobbled at the break, chased just off the inside coming under urging at the five-sixteenths pole, spun three wide into upper stretch, weakened in the drive. G FIVE chased along the inside and then just off the inside coming under encouragement with five-sixteenths to go, continued in the two path into upper stretch, got steadied when blocked as PILOT KNOB backed up along the rail, tipped out late re-engaged by the rider and weakened through to the finish. PILOT KNOB a bit fractious in the gate prior to the start, broke out a step at the break, established the front on the first turn and showed the way in hand just off the inside and then along the inside, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, dug in under threat from a host of pursuers and was collared nearing the eighth pole, then tired through to the end. UNCLE BARRIE three wide through the first turn, chased two to three paths off the inside down the backstretch before heading four to five wide through the far turn, went eight wide at the head of the stretch and made no impact. NAZ three wide through the first turn, chased four wide under urging from the five-sixteenths pole, tipped five wide into upper stretch, tired. ZEUS LIGHTNING coaxed from the gate, raced forwardly placed three then two wide through the first turn, chased three then two wide under light coaxing from the five-sixteenths marker, swung four wide into upper stretch, began to back away and got checked when impeded at the three-sixteenths, then tired through to the wire.
