Footnotes
WEST END KID prompted the pace on the outside in the three path, took the lead late on the far turn, responded well when asked for his best in upper stretch, swapped back to his inside lead just inside the furlong marker and held under strong urging. BLACKMAIL was rated under a snug hold in the two path, drafted behind horses on the far turn, was roused outside the quarter-pole, chased behind the leader into the final furlong, moved out into the final sixteenth and willingly earned the place. BOTTAS saved ground under restraint on the first turn, was taken up off heels nearing the three-quarter pole, raced under reserve, was roused while shifting from the inside to the three path on the far turn, moved further out while chasing in the stretch, came between foes into the final sixteenth and just got up for the show. GLAVINE bumped with a rival just after the start, raced in the three path on the first turn, settled on the outside, was urged along in the three then four path on the far turn and improved to just miss the show. NOBLE DYNASTY rounded the first turn in the two path, settled outside on the backstretch but with some cover, was roused in the four path on the far turn, came into the stretch in the five path then moved further out and lacked the needed response. TIME FOR AMERICA saved ground on the first turn, tossed his head behind a troubled BOTTAS approaching the three-quarter pole, was reserved off the pace, went around the far turn in the two then three path, moved out in the drive, raced behind horses in the final sixteenth and failed to impact. BLINGING IT BACK raced in the three path on the first turn, stalked the pace on the outside without cover, made a bid in three path on the far turn, battled under a drive into the final furlong, was taken in hand while dropping back into the final sixteenth and weakened. ASKED AND ANSWERED bumped with an opponent soon after the start, traveled around the first turn in the two path, settled at the rear, was urged along in the four then three path on the final turn, moved out in the stretch and was no factor. CHIPS AND FISH went to the front, showed the way on the inside, was asked on the far turn, lost the lead late on that bend and gave way.
