Footnotes
KENSINGTON LANE (IRE) went to the front then was taken in hand, lost the advantage when ABASHIRI rushed up outside the seven-eighths pole, regained the lead along the hedge on the first turn, showed the way while well rated, dictated terms on the far turn, responded well when asked a bit once straightened for the drive, drew off under a mild-hand ride into the final furlong, remained well clear under very light urging into the final sixteenth and won handily while geared down with a diminishing margin in the end. FAITHFUL DEPARTED dropped back while allowed to settle into stride, was taken under restraint as the field bunched outside the seven-eighths pole, saved ground while unhurried in reserve at the rear, raced behind a foe while patiently ridden on the final turn, responded well when asked while cutting the corner into the stretch, passed opponents on the inside under a right-handed crop inside the three-sixteenths pole then was corrected briefly with a pull of the right rein, moved to the two path inside the furlong marker and showed good courage for the place. FITZ RIGHT moved up under snug restraint outside the seven-eighths pole, was taken back in tight between horses nearing the first turn, raced in the two path on that bend, was rated off the pace, saved ground on the far turn, shifted to the two path into the stretch then was roused, bumped with ABASHIRI while splitting horses around the three-sixteenths pole and finished willingly for the show. STORM'S WAKE was taken under a tight hold near the wire for the first time then rated in the two path, came under encouragement on the far turn, swung out into the five path at the quarter-pole and lacked the needed kick. TIME TO DREAM brushed the outside of the gate at the start, saved ground on the first turn, was reserved towards the back, moved from the two path to the thre path outside the five-sixteenths pole and bumped with ULTIMATE LOVE, turned into the stretch in the six path and failed to threaten. IMAGINATIONTHELADY moved up under a hold outside the seven-eighths pole, raced in the three path on the first turn, was rated outside without cover, came under urging in the three path on the far turn then chased the leader, spun into the stretch in the four path and weakened. JUST ALOOF was taken under tight restraint near the wire for the first time, took a very awkward stride near the seven-eighths pole, saved ground while rated just off the pace, tipped to the two path at the quarter-pole, chased under a drive into the final furlong and also weakened. ABASHIRI (GB) broke awkwardly and a bit slow, moved to the outside early then rushed up to get the lead outside the seven-eighths pole, gave back the advantage while in the three path on the first turn, stalked the pace on the outside without cover, chased in the two path on the far turn, was driven into the stretch in the three path, bumped with FITZ RIGHT near the three-sixteenths pole and tired. ULTIMATE LOVE moved up under restraint near the wire for the first time, was taken back in tight between horses nearing the first turn, rounded that bend in the three path, was reserved off the pace, went around the far turn in the three to four path, was bumped by TIME TO DREAM outside the five-sixteenths pole and was no factor. CARMENSITA (ARG) dragged her way forward near the wire for the first time then steadied off heels outside the seven-eighths pole, traveled around the first turn in the two path, was reserved off the pace on the outside but with cover, rounded the far turn in the four to five path while roused and failed to respond.
