Footnotes
GENERATIONAL dropped well off the pace under urging, went around the most of the turn in the two path then tipped to the three path, came into the stretch in the six path, rallied outside while near the center of the course, closed strongly to get the lead at the sixteenth-pole and proved best under good handling. JUST A HOLIDAY was brushed at the start, showed speed then set the pace under pressure to his outside, vied along the rail on the turn, was asked outside the quarter-pole, lost the advantage in upper stretch, fought on well to the finish but missed while able to get the place. BEACH SANDALS showed speed between horses, steadied briefly nearing the seven-sixteenths pole then dropped well off the pace, went around most of the turn in the two path then shifted to the three path, was driven into the stretch in the five path and finished willingly to get the show. EXCESSIF was unsettled in the gate, broke out and brushed with a rival, showed speed then was taken in hand and well placed just off the pace, moved from the rail to the three path on the turn, gained to get the lead while remaining on his inside lead in upper stretch, led until near the sixteenth-pole then swapped to the proper lead while overtaken and missed the trifecta. CAPTAIN G broke a bit slow, angled out towards the rear, went around the turn in the four path and lacked the needed response. CALL ATTENDANT broke out a tad at the start, showed speed then pressed the pace on the outside, vied in the three path on the turn, dropped back under a drive in upper stretch and tired. MAGICAL MIKEL broke a half-step slow then dropped back, was urged along near the rear, was guided under extra left-rein pressure near the seven-sixteenths pole, saved ground on the turn, moved out in upper stretch and failed to threaten. PIRATE SHIP broke a half-step slow then dropped back, angled in while off the pace, saved ground on the turn and failed to respond.
