AFTER TAXES (IRE) was hustled from the gate, stalked the pace on the outside, made a bid late on the backstretch, vied in the three then two path on the turn, was asked near the quarter-pole, took a short lead in upper stretch, responded well under threat in the final furlong and held under strong urging. JOKER ON FIRE pressed the pace on the inside of the leader, was eased back off the pace near the seven-sixteenths pole, moved from the rail to the two path on the turn, came out into upper stretch, chased outside into the final furlong then made a bid outside of the winner, battled with that foe to the finish and was turned away while able to get the place. AMBASSADOR BLUE settled off the pace, saved ground while roused on the turn, swapped leads back and forth while improving in the stretch and finished willingly for the show. BRIDLE A BUTTERFLY was urged along off the pace, saved ground on the turn, spun into the stretch in the two path, chased under a drive into the final furlong, moved out around the sixteenth-pole and also improved position. RUSSI bumped with an opponent at the start, was urged along near the middle of the field, went around the turn in the two then three path, turned into upper stretch in the six path and lacked the needed kick. GLOBAL PROSPERITY angled in while going to the front, moved from the two path to the inside early on the turn, was asked near the quarter-pole, lost the advantage to the winner in upper stretch, dropped back into the final furlong and gave way. COUNTER MOVE settled on the outside without cover, dropped back in the three then two path on the turn and lacked the needed response. PEYTON was urged along on the outside, went around the turn in the three path, spun into the stretch in the four path and failed to rally. LAUNCH CONTROL was restless in the gate, showed early speed, dropped back in tight quarters near the seven-sixteenths pole, dropped back in the two path on the turn and came up empty. ROAR OF THE CROWD broke out then bumped with rivals on both sides, settled off the pace, was roused in the two to three path on the turn, moved out in upper stretch and was no factor. KID BILLY bumped with a rival at the start and was off a step slow, settled at the rear, went around the turn in the two then three path, moved out in upper stretch and failed to threaten.
