Footnotes
PROS AND CONS dropped back early, saved ground on the first turn, settled at the rear, was roused while in the two then three path on the far turn, moved out in upper stretch, rallied outside under a left-handed crop, closed well to get the lead inside the furlong marker then moved clear under a mild hand-ride to prove much the best. GOLDEN SIREN was grabbed with the right-rein just after the start, went around the opening bend in the two then three path, moved up to contest the pace outside a foe onto the backstretch, became keen in the process, vied in the two path on the far turn, moved to the rail outside the quarter-pole, dueled with MARY'S GUNNA RUN into the final furlong and got the best of that foe for the place while no match for the winner. MARY'S GUNNA RUN broke very alertly, showed speed on the outside of two opponents, started the turn in the three path, was carried out badly by FIRE ANGEL as that foe had a bridle issue going around that bend, steadied after being forced out to about the nine path late on that bend, angled in early on the backstretch, settled on the outside, was asked with three furlongs to run, gained to make a bid in the three path on the far turn, dropped to the two path coming to the quarter-pole, dueled outside of GOLDEN SIREN into the final furlong, swapped back to her inside lead shortly thereafter and weakened but was well clear for the show. INSIDE EDGE showed speed between horses, was taken up in tight quarters into the first turn then came out to the four path, dropped to the rail later on that bend, moved up onto the backstretch, contested the pace on the inside of a rival, was put to strong urging late on the backstretch, vied inside on the far turn, dropped back into the stretch and tired. SO ANGELINA was taken in hand after the start then dropped off the early pace, raced inside to the two path on the first turn, was rated while well placed down the backstretch, chased inside to the two path on the far turn and came up empty. FIRE ANGEL showed speed on the inside of two rivals, had the rider fall back in the saddle a couple times, started the turn in the two path then began to lug out badly with an issue with the bridle, bolted towards the outside fence later on that bend and was pulled up but walked off then reported to have had a malfunction with the bridle.
