NEW YORK SCRAPPY coaxed from the gate, established the front five and a half furlongs from home and showed the way in hand just off the inside, came under urging under growing threat from the runner up at the five-sixteenths pole, spun three wide into upper stretch coming out and bumping KENNY BE straightened away into upper stretch, got headed for command with three-sixteenths to go, dug in under a right handed crop and gamely came back on to take back the front a sixteenth out, then prevailed by a neck on the wire. KENNY BE broke out at the start filling the space left vacant by the slower breaking SHARE THE LUDT, led briefly early on and then settled three wide in closest aim of the aforementioned foe coming under urging near the quarter pole, swung four wide into upper stretch and was bumped by NEW YORK SCRAPPY straightened away, seized command at the three-sixteenths pole, dug in head to head and was collared a sixteenth out, then ran on to the finish to be along for the place honors on the line. ON THE HILL four wide in pursuit, came under encouragement at the five-sixteenths marker, angled out seven to eight wide into upper stretch and closed well to the finish latching on the top pair as they hit the wire. B THEDONALD broke out at the start and brushed the hind end of RUNAWAY JOKE, came under coaxing and chased three then two wide under urging from three furlongs out, tipped four wide into upper stretch and kept on to the finish. TRUST FUND broke out at the start, chased four then three wide under a ride from the three-eighths pole, angled five wide into upper stretch and weakened. RUNAWAY JOKE got brushed at the start by B THEDONALD, chased two to three wide under urging from three furlongs out, angled six wide into upper stretch, weakened. SHARE THE LUDT broke a half a beat slow, chased five then four wide under encouragement with seven-sixteenths to run, spun three then two wide into upper stretch and tired.
