MIDNIGHT STILL coaxed from the gate, chased along the inside until tipped to the two path three furlongs out when placed to coaxing, angled four wide into upper stretch, rallied on his wrong lead to take command inside the eighth pole, switched to the correct lead a sixteenth out while drawing clear to the finish to prevail. DECIMATION coaxed from the start, dueled briefly with MOTAWAALI placing that rival in very tight along the rail from the nine-sixteenths through to the half mile pole, showed the way in sole command lightly coaxed just off the inside through the turn, got set down continuing just off the inside into upper stretch, dug in under threat and was collared just inside the eighth pole, proved no match for the top one while keeping on to procure the place honors clear of the rest. MOTAWAALI buckled at the break, recovered under hustling and took to the rail to briefly duel with DECIMATION and was placed in very tight along the inside, scraped the paint from the nine-sixteenths marker through to the half mile pole while never balking and holding his position with good courage, chased along the inside through the turn coming under encouragement with five-sixteenths to run, spun three wide into upper stretch and weakened while along for the show honors. JOHNNY HOCKEY chased just off the inside early on, had HARBAUGH tuck in front and was forced to steady off his heels and alter out three wide just inside the nine-sixteenths pole, continued three wide through the turn under coaxing from the seven-sixteenths, swung two to three wide for home and weakened in the stretch. HARBAUGH brushed the off side stall at the start, chased three wide briefly before tucking to the two path with nine-sixteenths to go forcing the aforementioned foe to steady off his heels, chased just off the inside through to taking the inside route into upper stretch and tired.
