Footnotes
ANGEL OF KIRK stalked the pace on the outside, made a bid in the four path early on the turn, took the lead while moving to the three path shortly thereafter, controlled the action in the two path late on the bend, responded well when asked at the quarter-pole, drew off under a hand-ride into the final furlong and proved much the best while kept to the task under hand-urging to the finish. RUM TWIST was last away then steadied while having her path taken at the start, was urged along towards the rear, saved ground on the the turn, angled out in upper stretch and finished willingly for the place. AERIAL AFFAIR was fractious in the gate, broke near the back of the field, was urged along on the outside, gained in the four then three path on the turn, chased into the stretch then drifted in near the three-sixteenths pole and weakened but was clear for the show. CHRISTOPHER VEDDER was urged along at the rear on the outside, went around the turn in the three then four path, spun into the stretch in the five path and failed to threaten. HORMESIS was hustled to the front, showed the way on the inside of foes, lost the lead while inside early on the turn, moved to the two path near the five-sixteenths pole, chased in the three path into the stretch and tired. HARPOON angled in while coaxed along off the pace, weas roused in the two then three path on the turn, turned into the stretch in the four path and failed to rally. HOT FRIES pressed the pace loosely between horses, steadied while lugging out some early on the turn and lost position quickly, retreated to the rear under extra left-rein pressure in the two path on that bend, moved to the rail outside the quarter-pole and failed to respond.
