D I WIRE moved in early then chased the pace, gained fast coming to the half-mile pole, squeezed through inside of foes to make a bid along the rail at that point then took the lead, vied inside under urging on the turn, spun into the stretch in the three path, was put to a right-handed crop at the furlong marker and held under steady urging. CUT DOWN THE NETS bobbled at the start but came out in front, showed speed and set the pace, lost the lead inside the half-mile pole, vied in the two then three path on the turn, turned into the stretch in the four path, pursued the winner in the drive and willingly earned the place. HAMMERIN HENRY chased the pace, went around the turn in the three then four path, was driven into the stretch in the five path, shied out under a left-handed crop around the sixteenths-pole, kept on in pursuit of the top two to the finish and safely secured the show. TINIAN dropped well back under urging, moved in leaving the backstretch, shifted from the rail to the three path on the turn and improved for the last spot in the superfecta. ZACK THE GREY was ridden along well off the pace, shifted from the two path to the four path on the turn, angled out in upper stretch and failed to threaten. BUFFALO SOBER bumped with a rival at the start, dropped back while urged along on the outside, moved in while green and tossing his head leaving the backstretch, went around the turn in the four to five path, spun into the stretch in the six path and was no factor. MENDEL chased the pace, dropped back fast leaving the backstretch, moved from the five path to the three path early on the turn, continued in the three path into the stretch, dropped back while remaining on his inside lead in the drive and came up empty. NEVER BEFORE chased the pace, went around the turn in the four path, spun into the stretch in the five path and tired. LOAN RANGER dropped well behind the rest of the field, saved ground on the turn and showed little. PAREA was bumped at the start, raced on the outside under urging, dropped from the six path to the two path early on the turn and faltered.
