SHIRL'S SOUL TOWN broke out and bumped a foe then was grabbed strongly with the left-rein, settled comfortably at the rear of the field, saved ground on the turn, was roused inside the five-sixteenths pole then moved to the two path, swung out to the four path into the stretch, drifted out inside the three-sixteenths pole, rallied outside under a right-handed crop into the final furlong and closed strongly to get up late and prevail. BLAZING TIGER bobbled slightly at the start, showed speed then pressed the pace on the outside in hand, vied in the two path on the turn, was given his cue inside the five-sixteenths pole, turned into upper stretch on even terms for the lead, dueled with HE'S MY KIND into the final furlong, led into the final sixteenth but was caught while able to get the place. HE'S MY KIND was hustled to the front, set the pace under pressure to his outside, vied along the hedge on the turn, was asked coming to the quarter-pole, dueled with BLAZING TIGER while put to the crop in upper stretch, fought on well into the final sixteenth but was out-kicked while just able to get the show. RED SQUARE broke hard through the front of the gate prior to the start, was brought back around and deemed fit to run by the state veterinarian, bumped with foes at the start, showed speed then was taken in hand and rated just off the pace, moved from the hedge to the two path while asked on the turn, spun into the stretch under the crop, drifted out under a left-handed crop outside the furlong marker, gained inside of the winner coming to the sixteenth-pole and finished willingly while under hand-urging late then just missed the show. BEIJING broke hard through the front of the gate prior to the start but remained in the stall, made light contact with an opponent at the start, was rated off the pace, dropped back under urging in the two to three path on the turn, gained in the final furlong but failed to impact. FRENCHQUARTER NOTE tossed his head at the start and was off a step slow, settled on the outside, was urged along in the four path on the turn, dropped back in the five path into the stretch and capitulated.
