SANTORINI came in under light coaxing at the start and established the front from the get go, showed the way in hand just off the inside until tucked inside with seven-sixteenths to go, remained patiently handled until set down spinning just off the inside into upper stretch, edged away to the eighth pole, dug in under threat and dueled through the final sixteenth getting bumped forty yards from the finish, then traded a brush with PRESIDER before gamely fending him off on the wire. PRESIDER came in slightly after the start bumping HEATHGUARD in tandem with BELOUNI, chased just off the inside and then along the inside getting placed to encouragement with five-sixteenths to go, spun three wide into upper stretch, rallied to issue a challenge inside the final furlong, latched on the top one near the sixteenth pole, came in and bumped that rival forty yards out, then traded a brush with that foe and missed on the line. BELOUNI (FR) raced along the inside through the first turn, then chased three paths off the inside down the backstretch, tipped out three to four wide inside the seven-sixteenths marker and got given a notch to work with and bid four wide at the five-sixteenths pole, continued to advance into upper stretch coming under urging and got out swinging seven to eight wide at the head of the lane, got corrected coming in a path straightened away and remained prominent to the eighth pole, then dug in under a drive losing some momentum by getting out so wide while keeping on to safely preserve the show honors on the wire. CLASSIC CREATION chased just off the inside in mid pack patiently handled until set down angled six wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive, kept on to the finish. HEATHGUARD got bumped between foes after the start, raced along the inside at the tail of the field early on through the first turn, tipped three paths off the rail and continued at the rear to midway down the backstretch, continued three wide through the far turn coming under coaxing three furlongs out, angled six wide into upper stretch and offered up a belated bid. OCEAN ATLANTIQUE just off the inside through the first turn, tracked just off the pace three wide under urging from the five-sixteenths pole, angled five wide into upper stretch and weakened. LOU settled unhurried just off the inside near the rear of the field, came under encouragement with five-sixteenths to go, continued just off the inside into upper stretch and came up empty. TREATY OBLIGATION three wide through the first turn, raced three then two wide in close aim of the leader coming under a ride with five-sixteenths to run, swung four wide into upper stretch, weakened through to the finish.
