SHAPE NOTE was hustled from the gate, set the pace under heavy pressure to his outside, vied inside to the two path on the turn, shook clear into the stretch, drew off under one pop of a right-handed crop outside the furlong marker and proved much the best under a solid hand-ride to the finish. WAR STRIDE was carried in by FORE HARP early then bumped by that rival and shut-off, checked then dropped back fast, raced at the rear, moved from the two path to the four path on the turn, turned into the stretch in the five path and finished willingly for the place. DHABAB (IRE) dropped well off the pace while ridden along, saved ground on the turn and lacked the needed response while up for the show. VETTRIANO was moving around when the latch was sprung, broke in the air and was off a bit slow, was urged along on the outside, went around most of the turn in the three path then moved to the four path, dropped back while remaining on his inside lead in upper stretch, was thrown in by the rider coming to the furlong marker, swapped to the proper lead inside that marker and came up empty. FORE HARP was sent hard from the gate, came in early and bumped then bothered WAR STRIDE, pressed the pace on the outside of the leader, vied in the two then three path on the turn, dropped back in upper stretch and tired.
