NORMANDY COAST got bumped at the start by NORWICH, who recovered inwards from a stumble, chased along the inside on hold through until tipped three to four wide into upper stretch, got let out straightened away, dug in under a drive rallying to latch on the top one near the sixteenth pole, then seized command in the last jumps to the finish. NORWICH stumbled at the start recovering outwards into NORMANDY COAST, established the front after the start and showed the way in hand along the inside down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn, continued in the two path into upper stretch and got roused straightened away, dug in under growing threat to the outside and was caught in the final strides to the finish while well clear for the place honors. MR SKYLIGHT broke out a step at the start and brushed lightly with SHERIFF BIANCO, chased just off the inside down the backstretch and into the turn before tucking inside near the three-eighths pole, came under encouragement with five-sixteenths to go, cut the corner into upper stretch, weakened while along for the show honors. SHERIFF BIANCO brushed the off side stall at the start then got taken in hand off the heels of HEY TOBY when brushed by MR SKYLIGHT, chased five then four wide under a ride from the seven-sixteenths marker, cornered five wide into upper stretch and tired. FIFTY CENT DOLLARS chased three then two wide under urging with seven-sixteenths remaining, went seven wide into upper stretch, tired. HEY TOBY broke in at the start taking over the lane of SHERIFF BIANCO, came under coaxing and led briefly early on before settling five then four wide in aim of the front, tucked three wide through the turn and came under coaxing three furlongs out, swung three to four wide into upper stretch and faltered in the drive. DOT'S DOLLAR away a beat slow, lunged at the break and broke inwards getting away last and conceding four to five lengths to the front, chased along the inside, got out into the turn to the two path and was off heels of MR SKYLIGHT and checked off that rival's heels losing four lengths of position and ground to that foe, came under coaxing five-sixteenths from home and went three wide into upper stretch and trailed throughout.
