COSMIC CANDY GIRL established the front the initial time under the wire and crossed to show the way in hand along the inside into and through the first turn, settled into a comfortable rhythm slipping away midway down the backstretch to a slightly larger lead, had the field take closer order through the far turn when patiently handled, came under encouragement just outside the quarter pole and spun just off the inside into upper stretch, straightened away to the inside and edged clear under a drive and was kept to task to the finish to score. CONSIDERATE CITY saved ground at the tail of the field, came under coaxing near the quarter pole and angled four wide into upper stretch, tipped out one path near the eighth pole and closed well and belatedly through the final furlong and was just up for the place honors on the wire. NEW YORK SPECIAL broke in at the start and came under coaxing, chased along the inside coming under a ride near the quarter pole, cornered just off the inside into upper stretch, ran on to the finish. NESHIKA tracked the front just off the inside from near the rear of the field, tipped out three then four paths off the rail with five-sixteenths to go, angled seven wide into upper stretch set down for the drive, kept on through to the end. ALL OF IT two to three wide in pursuit, came under encouragement at the five-sixteenths marker, angled four to five wide into upper stretch, weakened in the late stages. CELTIC DAWN settled tracking the leader in closest aim while just off the inside, remained patiently handled until placed to urging near the quarter pole, spun three wide into upper stretch, dug in prominent to the eighth pole, then weakened in the late going.
