Footnotes
MAIDA was hustled to the front then went clear, dictated terms while inside on the turn, was challenged outside the quarter-pole, responded well when asked at the top of the stretch then came under a strong hand-ride, was put to a left-handed crop while battling with GRAND JOB inside the three-sixteenths pole, fought with that foe into the final sixteenth then turned back that rival and proved best under strong urging. HAULIN ICE settled off the pace, was roused in the three then four path on the turn, came into the stretch in the five path, pursued the leaders while outside in the drive and gained with good energy late to garner the place. GRAND JOB broke out a tad, tracked the pace on the outside, ranged up in the four then three path on the turn, made a bid outside the quarter-pole, came inward to the two path at the three-sixteenths pole then was put to a left-handed crop, fought outside of the winner into the final furlong, was switched to a right-handed crop outside the sixteenth-pole, battled into the final sixteenth then was turned back and out-kicked while just able to get the show. STRIKER HAS DIAL broke out at the start, was well placed just off the pace, moved closer in the two path on the turn, shifted to the four path while roused outside the quarter-pole, pursued the leaders in the stretch, kept on with good courage to the finish and just missed the show. KAPPA KAPPA broke a step slow, was urged along well off the pace, saved ground on the turn and failed to rally. GOING STEADY lacked speed under urging, went around the turn in the two path, came out into upper stretch and was no factor. DO GOODER stumbled at the start, was urged along on the outside, dropped back leaving the backstretch, went around the turn in the five then four path and faltered.
