BARB took an awkward first step from the gate, chased along the inside and then just off the inside through the turn, spun two to three wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive rallying between foes nearing the sixteenth marker, had PERFECT FORCE come in slightly under a right handed crop closing the seam between foes down some just outside the sixteenth pole before BEDARD came out under a left handed crop just inside the sixteenth pole, seized narrow command splitting foes when bumped by BEDARD into PERFECT FORCE seventy yards from the finish and then prevailed by a neck on the wire. BEDARD coaxed from the gate, cut the pace from the two path patiently handled until roused continuing just off the inside into upper stretch, dug in under threat from a pair of rivals and came out under a left handed crop bumping BARB into PERFECT FORCE just inside the sixteenth marker when displaced from command, dug in to share in the place honors on the line. PERFECT FORCE three wide in pursuit, got set down spinning three wide into upper stretch, rallied to issue a challenge a furlong out, came in slightly under a right handed crop closing some of the seam between foes utilized by BARB just outside the sixteenth pole, then got bumped by BARB due to pressure from BEDARD just inside the sixteenth pole and battled on to the finish to share in the place honors. PLAYING TRICKS broke in at the start bumping SHATTUCK, chased three to four wide under a ride from the seven-sixteenths pole, continued three to four wide into upper stretch, weakened in the late stages. SHATTUCK got bumped at the start by PLAYING TRICKS, chased just off the inside down the backstretch before tipping three then four wide placed to coaxing with seven-sixteenths to run, went five wide midway on the turn and continued five wide at the head of the stretch and trailed throughout.
