RENEGADE dropped back early, saved ground while unhurried well off the pace, was roused leaving the backstretch, continued inside on the far turn, gained in the three path into the stretch, angled out under a left-handed crop inside the three-sixteenths then drifted out near the furlong marker, was straightened by the rider shortly thereafter, switched to a right-handed crop while making a bid outside the sixteenth-pole, drifted in late and got up to prevail under good handling. COMMANDMENT brushed the outside of the gate at the start, established a forward position on the initial straightaway, dropped from the three path to the two path early on the first turn, was well placed while rated in third, ranged up in the three then four path on the far turn, made a bid outside the leading duo at the five-sixteenths pole, took the lead in the five path into upper stretch, battled with SILENT TACTIC into the final furlong, led until near the sixteenth-pole then was headed by the winner, fought to the finish and missed but was clear for the place. SILENT TACTIC was asked leaving the gate, led early then lost the advantage into the first turn, went around that bend in the two to three path, stalked the pace on the outside, engaged the leader in the two then three path on the far turn, took a short lead passing the five-sixteenths pole, was roused outside the quarter-pole, lost the advantage to the runner-up into upper stretch, dueled with that foe into the final. CHIP HONCHO broke out and bumped with ASKED AND ANSWERED then was hustled, advanced to get the lead into the first turn, showed the way on the inside, moved to the two path under pressure inside the three-eighths pole, lost the advantage passing the five-sixteenths pole, dropped back into upper stretch and tired. ASKED AND ANSWERED was bumped at the start then taken back between horses early, settled at the rear in the two path, was urged along on the far turn and was no factor.
