DAKOTA COUNTRY chased two to three paths off the inside down the backstretch, tucked inside into the turn and came under coaxing near the quarter pole, went eight wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive rallying through the final furlong knocking heads late with JOKER ON FIRE and was just up on the wire. JOKER ON FIRE broke out at the start trading a bump with MOZAMBIQUE, chased along the inside coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, angled five wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command just inside the eighth pole, dug in head to head with the top one late and was nailed on the line. ILLMATIC tracked the pace along the inside continuing along the inside route into upper stretch, paused in behind the leader BLAMICKER with KING PUCK to his outside with nowhere to go but remain boxed along the rail until gaining clearance just inside the eighth pole, tipped out roused for the remainder of the stretch and closed with a rush to just miss for the it all at the end. VAN VOLLENHOVEN two to three wide in pursuit from just off the pace, came under a ride near the quarter pole and spun three wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command at the eighth pole, got displaced just inside that station, then weakened in the late stages. RHYTON coaxed from the gate, chased three then two wide under encouragement from the five-sixteenths marker, angled six wide into upper stretch, made no headway. BLAMICKER coaxed from the start, showed the way in hand along the inside, got let out taking the inside route into upper stretch, dug in under threat and was caught a furlong out, weakened through to the finish. DILIELLO stumbled at the start, chased three then two wide under urging from the five-sixteenths pole, angled six wide into upper stretch, had no rally. MOZAMBIQUE broke in at the start trading a bump with JOKER ON FIRE, chased two to three wide until tucked inside into the turn, came under a ride with five-sixteenths to go, swung four to five wide for home and made no impact. Following a saddle adjustment behind the gate, KING PUCK chased three then two wide coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, cornered just off the inside into upper stretch, weakened in the final furlong.
