NORWICH coaxed from the gate, prompted the leader from the outside, four paths off the rail down the backstretch, tucked to the two path through the turn and advanced to duel from the three-eighths pole, spun two to three wide into upper stretch, continued to knock heads through the stretch taking narrow command a sixteenth out, dug in gamely between foes late and just held on to score. SHOOT THE NICKEL broke in at the start bumping STEWIE into CONNIVING, chased five paths off the inside down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn coming under encouragement with five-sixteenths to run, spun three wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive and got on track nearing the sixteenth marker, surged late and just missed on the wire. BURNINHUNKOFLOVE coaxed from the gate, showed the way in hand just off the inside under some pressure from NORWICH to the outside, tucked inside through the turn and came under increased pressure engaged in head to head combat from three furlongs out, took the inside route into upper stretch under a drive, dug in and was narrowly headed a sixteenth out, fought on inside the top pair through the final sixteenth to the finish. CONNIVING got bumped after the start by STEWIE due to pressure from SHOOT THE NICKEL breaking inwards, chased three then two wide patiently handled until set down spinning just off the inside into upper stretch, ran on through to the end. KUNSHAN BRIDGE chased six to seven paths off the rail down the backstretch and then three wide through the turn coaxed along with seven-sixteenths remaining, angled four to five wide into upper stretch, made no headway. STEWIE got bumped after the start by SHOOT THE NICKEL and in turn bumped CONNIVING, chased six paths off the inside down the backstretch and then three wide through the turn, went four wide at the top of the stretch and weakened in the late stages. JACKSON HEIGHTS broke out at the start brushing WILLIE BIRD, chased two to three wide under a ride from three furlongs out, went seven to eight wide into upper stretch, made no impact. WILLIE BIRD a bit fractious in the gate prior to the start, lunged at the break and was brushed by JACKSON HEIGHTS getting away last, chased seven paths off the inside down the backstretch and then three wide through the turn, went eight wide at the head of the stretch, made no impact.
