LADY ORIENT was taken under a tight hold early, tossed her head while keen under restraint into the first turn, saved ground while rated just off the pace, was asked late on the far turn, came a bit off the hedge into upper stretch, dropped back to the inside outside the furlong marker, gained to make a bid into the final sixteenth but was outfinished by the winner while willingly earning the place. BRYANT AND COOPER exchanged bumps with DIVIDEND RECAP at the start, raced in the three path on the first turn, settled outside at the rear, was urged along late on the backstretch, moved from the two path to the four path on the final turn, angled out after turning into the stretch in the five path, reached about the eight path inside the three-sixteenths pole and improved to just get the show. LOTUS PETAL was hustled from the gate, angled in while going to the front, showed the way while inside to the two path, was given her cue late on the far turn, spun into upper stretch in the three path, led under a drive into the final sixteenth but was overtaken then just missed the trifecta. PRETTY LAVISH (IRE) broke out then bumped with a foe, became keen under restraint early, tugged hard on the bit into the first turn, was reserved in the two then three path, raced just off heels late on the backstretch, was roused while moving out on the far turn, came out to the five path outside the quarter-pole, spun into the stretch in the six path, was bumped by CELESTIAL EXPRESS near the three-sixteenths pole and forced further out in the course then improved to just miss the superfecta. RIVER TAY (IRE) was taken under a tight hold against the hedge early, saved ground while rated off the pace, was asked into upper stretch, steadied behind LADY ORIENT inside the three-sixteenths pole, moved out in the final furlong and lacked the needed kick. STARLIGHT DANCER was taken in hand early, went around the first turn in the two to three path, clipped the heels of ON A SUMMER DAY early on the backstretch and bobbled, was rated outside without cover, came under urging in the two to three path on the far turn, was driven into upper stretch in the five path and lacked the needed kick. ON A SUMMER DAY moved out into the first turn, raced in the two path on that bend, was clipped behind by STARLIGHT DANCER early on the backstretch, stalked the pace on the outside, was asked in the two to three path on the far turn, came into upper stretch in the four path, chased under a drive into the final furlong and came up empty. CELESTIAL EXPRESS traveled around the first turn in the three to four path, settled on the outside without cover, was roused in the four path on the far turn, spun into upper stretch in the six path, came out near the three-sixteenths pole and bumped with PRETTY LAVISH then capitulated.
