MUSIC IN MOTION was taken in hand just after the start, moved up to be well placed just off the pace, drafted in the two path on the turn, lacked room behind the leader while between foes into upper stretch, steadied briefly then bumped lightly with JUST TIPSY while altering out for room around the three-sixteenths pole, rallied to make a bid at the furlong marker, had the rider lose his crop shortly thereafter, battled outside the runner-up under a strong hand-ride to the finish and narrowly prevailed. MODEST MACLEAN broke in at the start, prompted the pace on the outside of the leader, took the advantage late on the backstretch, controlled the action while dropping from the four path to the two path on the turn, was asked turning into upper stretch, drifted out a bit under threat from the runner-up near the furlong marker, led into the final sixteenth then was headed by the winner, fought with that foe to the finish and just missed while clear for the place. BOSSOFEVERYTHING showed speed then set the pace, lost the lead late on the backstretch, dropped from the two path to the inside early on the turn, chased under a drive into the final furlong and weakened but was clear for the show. JUST TIPSY came away in good order, was well placed just off the pace, went around the turn in the three to four path, chased into upper stretch, was bumped lightly by the winner near the three-sixteenths pole, dropped back into the final furlong and tired. MY TOGO settled off the pace, was urged along in the two path for most of the turn then shifted to the three path and lacked the needed response. KING LUCKY lacked early speed, moved out under urging outside the five-eighths pole, went around the turn in the four path, was driven into the stretch in the five path and failed to rally. TRUE ADIRONDACKER was bumped at the start, settled well off the pace under some urging, was ridden along in the two then three path on the turn and failed to threaten. NOTHINGBUTNITRO broke in and bumped with TRUE ADIRONDACKER then dropped back, angled in at the rear, saved ground on the turn, spun into the stretch in the two path and was no factor.
