SHARONS BEACH coaxed from the gate, dueled two to three paths off the rail down the backstretch with IMAGINE JOHN to his outside, tucked inside through the turn coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, spun just off the inside into upper stretch, dug in under threat from a pair through to the finish and just held on at the wire coming out and bumping IMAGINE JOHN on the line. RAMAJAY stumbled at the start, chased just off the inside and then along the inside coming under encouragement with five-sixteenths to go, angled five to six wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive closing well late and just missed at the end. IMAGINE JOHN coaxed from the start, dueled four paths off the inside down the backstretch with SHARONS BEACH to his inside, tucked to the two path through the turn, got let out spinning three wide into upper stretch, dug in latched on through the length of the stretch, fighting on to the finish loosely between foes late and was along for the show honors getting bumped at the finish by SHARONS BEACH coming out slightly to the wire. LIFE IS GRAVY (IRE) got brushed at the start by TRIPP'S PROMISE, chased three wide from the tail of the field coming under a ride three furlongs out, angled five wide into upper stretch and offered up late foot. TRIPP'S PROMISE broke out at the start brushing LIFE IS GRAVY, chased along the inside under prolonged urging from the nine-sixteenths pole, went nine wide into upper stretch and passed tired rivals. ROCHESTER brushed the off side stall at the start, chased three then two wide under encouragement from three furlongs out, continued two to three wide for home and weakened. UNAUTHORIZED got away to an awkward beginning, chased three to four paths off the inside down the backstretch and then just off the inside through the turn, angled six to seven wide into upper stretch and tired.
