ASHIKIDAH (FR) was rated just off the pace on the inside, saved ground through the far turn, was asked in the two path into the stretch, chased the runner-up into the final furlong then made a bid, gained the lead coming to the sixteenth-pole and prevailed under strong urging. TIRUPATI bobbled at the start then made light contact with a foe, showed the way on the inside, was asked near the quarter-pole then came under a drive in upper stretch, lost the advantage to the winner approaching the sixteenth-pole and was outfinished while clear for the place. SHORE WAR went around most of the first turn in the two path then dropped to the inside, settled towards the rear, saved ground on the far turn, was roused near the quarter-pole and improved for the show. POP ART stalked the pace on the outside in the two path, chased on the far turn, moved to the three path outside the quarter-pole, dropped back under a drive in upper stretch and weakened. GOWELLS DELIGHT broke out and bumped lightly with TIRUPATI, settled on the inside, was roused near the quarter-pole and lacked the needed response.
