MURSAL hit the outside of the gate then bobbled, moved in while well placed just off the pace, went around the turn in the two then three path, was roused near the quarter-pole, gained to make a bid in the four path into upper stretch, took the lead coming to the furlong marker and drew clear under steady handling to prove much the best. DESPO'S DREAM showed speed then tracked the pace on the outside, made a bid late on the backstretch, vied in the three then two path on the turn, was put to a drive in upper stretch, battled between horses into the final furlong and proved no match for the winner while able to get the place. COQUITO showed speed on the outside then disputed the pace, dropped from the two path to the inside while asked inside of a foe on the turn, battled inside of opponents under a drive into the final furlong and weakened then missed the place but was clear for the show. BABY SASSICAIA settled off the pace under some urging, shifted from the rail to the two path on the turn, came between horses near the quarter-pole, turned into upper stretch under a drive, moved out inside the furlong marker and failed to rally. CURLIN'S MAGIC broke out and hit the gate, settled at the rear, went around the turn in the two then three path, spun into the stretch in the four path then moved further out and failed to threaten. HEAVENLY LIGHT was urged along on the outside, moved in near the nine-sixteenths pole, went around the turn in the three then four path, turned into the stretch in the five path and came up empty. CAROLINA SMOKESHOW showed speed then disputed the pace, vied inside on the turn, dropped back outside the three-eighths pole and stopped then faltered in the final furlong and was placed under a protective hold from outside the sixteenth-pole to the finish.
