THE PADDOCK PASTOR saved ground at the tail of the field patiently handled until let out angled four wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive and CHIPS AND FISH drifted in opening a seam just inside the eighth pole, rallied on through to seize command just inside the sixteenth marker, then inched away to the finish to prevail. OUTSOURCE got bumped between foes at the start who each broke his way, chased just off the inside from near the rear of the field patiently handled until set down angled five wide into upper stretch, closed well to secure the place honors in the final jumps. HARD CIRCLE raced just off the inside and was off heels in the two path through the first turn nudging MAXIMUM PROMISE briefly three wide midway on that turn before that rival pushed him back inwards, chased just off the inside coming under coaxing with five-sixteenths to go, angled five wide into upper stretch and ran on to the finish to secure the show honors. CIAO CHUCK tracked the pace along the inside patiently handled until roused spinning three then two wide into upper stretch, attempted to tip out nudging CHIPS AND FISH but had that rival keep his lane, then had to alter quickly inside just inside the three-sixteenths pole when ENGLISH CASTLE drifted out under a left handed crop, rallied up the inside to make a brief cameo appearance seizing command at the sixteenth pole, then got displaced in the next stride and was out-finished in the late stages. PINELAND broke in at the start bumping OUTSOURCE in tandem with GUN BARREL CITY, chased two to three wide under a ride from the five-sixteenths pole, swung four wide into upper stretch and was out-finished in the late going. ENGLISH CASTLE showed the way in hand along the inside, got set down taking the inside route into upper stretch, shied out under a left handed crop at the three-sixteenths and forced CIAO CHUCK to alter inside and CHIPS AND FISH to be taken in hand very briefly in behind, got collared a sixteenth from home and weakened in the late stages. CHIPS AND FISH coaxed from the start, chased just off the inside coming under encouragement with five-sixteenths to go, spun three wide into upper stretch, had CIAO CHUCK lean out and denied the move keeping his rightful lane, then got forced to pause and was taken very briefly in hand when ENGLISH CASTLE came out in front, dug in under a drive moving inwards when weakening a furlong and backed away to the wire. GUN BARREL CITY broke out at the start bumping OUTSOURCE in concert with PINELAND, chased along the inside under urging from three furlongs out, spun just off the inside into upper stretch and weakened. MAXIMUM PROMISE three wide through the first turn, chased four then three wide under urging from the five-sixteenths pole, went eight then seven wide into upper stretch and weakened.
