M BS MELANIE CARES broke alertly from the outside post, angled in quickly while going to the front, showed the way on the inside of a rival, vied in the two path on the turn, shook clear coming to the quarter-pole, was asked into the stretch, came under a right-handed crop while drawing off outside the furlong marker, switched to a left-handed crop outside the sixteenth-pole and proved much the best under a strong drive to the finish. RED BEACH settled off the pace, was asked while between foes leaving the backstretch, went around the turn in the three then four path, turned into upper stretch under a drive, pursued the winner to the finish and was second best. LIL TIPSY was bumped at the start, dropped back under urging on the outside, moved from the three path to the five path under strong encouragement on the turn, turned into the stretch in the six path and improved to get the show. IMMACULATE MOON broke a step slow, moved up then was rated just off the pace, drafted in the two path on the turn, dropped to the rail while asked late on that bend, chased into upper stretch and came up empty. CHART THE COURSE was hustled from the gate, moved up to press the pace on the outside of the winner after she crossed in front, vied in the three path on the turn, dropped back approaching the quarter-pole, remained on her inside lead in the drive and tired. PULLING THREADS was urged along towards the rear, raced inside for most of the turn then moved to the three path and failed to threaten. CARA FIORE broke out and hit the gate then bumped with LIL TIPSY, was urged along on the outside, dropped back in the four path on the turn and had nothing left. ROSE TO RICHES came out a bit at the start, was urged along off the pace, dropped from the three path to the two path on the turn and failed to respond.
