CONTRARY THINKING chased along the inside briefly before taking over command just outside five furlongs to run, showed the way along the inside and then two to three wide through the turn under close watch from BOLD STRENGTH to the outside, got set down spinning three to four wide into upper stretch, edged away under a drive to the eighth pole, dug in and held clear to the finish kept to task. COMMUTED broke out at the start filling the space left vacant by VIBRANT EXPRESS, chased four to five wide under a ride from the five-sixteenths marker, went seven to eight wide into upper stretch and offered up a mild kick. BOLD STRENGTH led early on before being displaced on the front by CONTRARY THINKING five furlongs out, raced three to four wide in closest aim of that rival coming under coaxing near the quarter pole, swung five wide into upper stretch and kept on to the finish clear for the show honors. RIDGEWOOD RUNNER chased just off the inside and then along the inside, got steadied inside of OTELLO with five-sixteenths to go, came under urging taking the inside route into upper stretch and weakened. OTELLO chased three then two wide coming under urging three furlongs from home, spun three wide into upper stretch, tired. ELIMINATE stumbled badly inwards at the start and was checked sharply to avoid contact with VIBRANT EXPRESS, who also stumbled badly, and conceded seven to eight lengths to the front, chased five to six wide under urging from the five-sixteenths marker, went seven to eight wide into upper stretch and tired. VIBRANT EXPRESS stumbled badly at the start and conceded six to seven lengths to the front, chased three to four wide under a ride from the five-sixteenths pole, swung four wide for home and made no impact.
