Footnotes
CADENZA tossed her head and was off slow, spotted the front a few lengths, settled at the rear, went around the turn in the three then four path, was roused at the five-sixteenths pole, rallied outside into upper stretch, closed strongly to make a bid outside of GERRARDS CROSS inside the three-sixteenths pole, took the lead under a right-handed crop outside the furlong marker then drifted in, switched to a left-handed crop outside the sixteenth-pole and held under steady urging. EPIC LADY LUCK settled off the pace, moved from the inside to the two path on the turn, came out from behind horses in upper stretch then was put to a drive and finished willingly to just get the place. GERRARDS CROSS was hustled to the front then showed the way, vied inside on the turn, was asked near the quarter-pole then came under a drive in upper stretch, lost the advantage to the winner outside the furlong marker, kept on into the final sixteenth and was outfinished then just lost the place while narrowly able to get the show. MYTHICAL settled on the outside, was given her cue in the three path on the turn, moved to the four path outside the quarter-pole, was driven into the stretch in the five path, pursued the winner while outside into the final furlong and showed good courage to just miss third while clear for the last spot in the superfecta. TRISKELION tracked then chased the pace on the outside, went around the turn in the two path, turned into upper stretch under a drive, dropped back into the final furlong and weakened. QUEEN JUNO was brushed by MAUNA LOA at the start, settled near the back, saved ground on the turn, was roused after turning into the stretch, moved out outside the furlong marker and lacked the needed response. OSCAR'S ENCORE was well placed just off the pace, saved ground on the turn, was asked near the quarter-pole and came up empty. MAUNA LOA broke in and brushed QUEEN JUNO, settled off the pace, went around the turn in the two then three path, was asked around the five-sixteenths pole, dropped back into upper stretch then moved out and faltered then was eased in the final furlong before being transported off the course via equine ambulance while reported to have bled.
