Footnotes
TRICKY TEMPER settled on the outside under some urging, was roused in the four path on the turn, rallied in the five path into the stretch, took the lead outside the furlong marker, shook clear outside the sixteenth-pole then drifted in before getting one pop of a left-handed crop, took a straighter course into the final sixteenth and proved much the best under a hand-ride to the finish. PRINCESS MADISON was fractious in the gate, broke out at the start then was hustled, tracked the pace on the outside of the leader, made a bid leaving the backstretch, vied in the three path while asked on the turn, took the lead into upper stretch, lost the advantage to the winner outside the furlong marker and proved no match while able to get the place. MAGGY'S PALACE settled off the pace, moved closer late on the backstretch, drafted inside on the turn, was roused while cutting the corner into the stretch, chased under a drive into the final furlong and weakened while able to get the show. CARESS was hustled to the front then showed the way, lugged out under extra left-rein pressure in the two path on the turn, lost the advantage into upper stretch, dropped back into the final furlong then moved out and tired. BOURBON BREEZE was ridden along off the pace, moved in near the nine-sixteenths pole, went around the turn in the two path, turned into upper stretch under a drive, drifted out inside the furlong marker and lacked the needed response. EVERYONELOVESLINDA broke with the body of the field, dropped back while crowded between horses early then fell well behind, moved from the two path to the three path late on the turn, angled out in upper stretch and faltered then was eased in the final furlong but walked off.
