Footnotes
AND ONE MORE TIME broke out at the start bumping SEGESTA, established the front and showed the way along the inside, the rider adjusting his right side iron briefly under the finish line the first time, raced along the inside through the first turn and then just off the inside down the backstretch settling into a comfortable rhythm through sensible splits, tucked inside three furlongs out and rode the rail through the far turn coming under coaxing with five-sixteenths to go, spun just off the inside into upper stretch and was placed to crossed reined encouragement at the three-sixteenths and began to come outwards under just left handed urging while being flashed a right handed crop, herded out SUNLIT UPLANDS four paths and SEGESTA three paths from the eighth pole to inside the sixteenth marker, got corrected with urging from both hands and then continued being shown the crop through to the wire holding on by a neck when keeping a straight course. SUNLIT UPLANDS (IRE) grew fractious in the gate just after SEGESTA did and in turn inspired OZARA to do the same, tracked the leader along the inside through the stretch and the first turn the initial time before tipping to the two path down the backstretch settling into a loose pocket, tucked back inside through the far turn and came under encouragement with five-sixteenths to go, angled three to four wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive getting herded out four paths from the eighth pole to just inside the sixteenth marker and fought on latched on to the finish in a good effort. DEEP SATIN settled unhurried two to three wide near the rear of the field and remained patiently handled until placed to urging with five-sixteenths remaining, angled out six wide into upper stretch, dug in under a drive rallying with late energy angling in a path or two a sixteenth out and missed at the finish while up for the show honors. GRAYOSH settled two to three wide at the tail of the field, came under encouragement with five-sixteenths to run, angled six to seven wide into upper stretch and kicked on belatedly to the wire. SEGESTA grew a bit fractious in the gate prior to the start inspiring an additional pair of rivals to do the same, got bumped at the break by AND ONE MORE TIME, who broke inwards, raced just off the inside through the first turn and then tracked from just off the pace three then two wide, came under urging two and a half furlongs from home, angled five wide at the head of the stretch, dug in under a drive rallying to latch on the top pair a furlong out, got herded out three paths through to the sixteenth pole, then flattened out in the late stages. OZARA (IRE) grew fractious in the gate just after SEGESTA and SUNLIT UPLANDS did the same, broke in at the start and was corrected, grew rank along the inside in behind the leader under restraint into the first turn, settled tracking just off the inside from mid pack, tucked inside through the far turn and came under coaxing with five-sixteenths to go, spun two to three wide for home and weakened. LONG AGO (GB) coaxed from the start, raced forwardly placed just off the inside through the first turn and then three to four paths off the inside down the backstretch, tucked to the two path through the far turn, angled three to four wide for home and tired. There was a Stewards' Inquiry into the stretch run as well as a Claim of foul by the rider of SUNLIT UPLANDS alleging interference against AND ONE MORE TIME. After review, the result was allowed to stand prior to the race being declared official.
