Footnotes
HOPE ROAD was very reluctant to load, came away in good order, tracked the pace on the outside, ranged up in the three path to make a bid outside the three-eighths pole, took the lead in the four path coming to the quarter-pole, dropped back to the three path while asked for her best into upper stretch, drifted in under a right-handed crop at the furlong marker, shook off the runner-up shortly thereafter, switched to a left-handed crop outside the sixteenth-pole and proved best under strong urging. SCYLLA broke out and brushed the gate, went to the front then showed the way, vied in the two path on the turn, was asked under threat outside the five-sixteenths pole, lost the lead to the winner approaching the quarter-pole, battled with that foe under a drive into the final furlong and was outfinished while clear for the place. MAJESTIC OOPS was hustled from the gate then ridden along off the pace, went around most of the turn in the two path then shifted to the three path, was driven into the stretch in the five path and lacked the needed response while clearly best of the rest. BRIGHTWORK was well placed early, passed the nine-sixteenths pole under urging then dropped back, retreated further back leaving the backstretch, moved from the rail to the two path on the turn and failed to rally. HALINA'S FORTE broke out and bumped with an opponent, dropped back between horses early then settled at the rear, was roused in the two then three path on the turn and was no factor. CLARET BERET bumped with a rival at the start, pressed the pace on the inside of a foe, dropped back off the pace near the five-eighths pole, came up empty along the rail on the turn and retreated then was eased in the final furlong but walked off. MY MANE SQUEEZE was hustled from the gate then ridden along on the outside, chased in the four then five path on the turn, dropped back late on that bend, spun into the stretch in the six path and faltered then was also eased in the final furlong but walked off.
