Footnotes
THORPEDO ANNA established a forward position early, raced in the four path on the first turn, tracked the pace on the outside, moved up inside the three-quarter pole, took a narrow advantage outside the five-eighths pole, shook clear while dropping from the three path to the two path on the far turn, responded well when asked near the quarter-pole, came under a right-handed crop under threat from the runner-up in upper stretch, dueled gamely inside of that foe, was given one last pop of the crop outside the sixteenth-pole, fought under a strong hand-ride to the finish and won the head-bob on the wire to narrowly prevail. DORTH VADER bumped with a rival after the start then dropped back in crowded quarters between horses, went around the first turn in the two then three path, settled just off the pace, bumped with an opponent inside the seven-sixteenths pole, stalked outside in the three path on the far turn, was given her cue near the quarter-pole, made a bid outside of the winner into upper stretch then dueled gamely with that foe, put a nose in front one stride before the finish but was out-nodded on the wire and denied while well clear for the place. LESLIE'S ROSE was hustled from the gate then angled in, rounded that bend in the two path, was well placed just off the pace, bumped with a rival early on the far turn then steadied, was roused shortly thereafter, moved out to the four path late on that bend, turned into upper stretch under a drive and came up empty while best of the rest. RAGING SEA broke a step slow then dropped back while having her path taken, swerved out over the heels of a troubled rival early, dropped in into the first turn, saved ground on that bend, lagged at the rear, was asked to pick it up with five furlongs to run, raced inside for most of the far turn then moved to the two path, turned into the stretch in the three path and failed to threaten. DAZZLING MOVE bumped with a rival after the start then checked between horses, tossed her head into the first turn, continued high-headed in the three path on that bend, settled well off the pace, was urged along while moving from the three path to the five path on the far turn and failed to respond then drifted in late. RANDOMIZED was hustled from the gate, disputed the pace on the inside, dropped back under urging on the far turn and faded. BERNIETAKESCHARGE was fractious in the gate, came inward after the start while hustled, raced in the three path on the first turn, contested the pace on the outside then between horses, was urged along late on the backstretch, bumped with foes while dropping back early on the far turn and retreated.
