SIDEARM was hustled from the gate, moved from the rail to the two path late on the first turn, tracked the leader on the outside, engaged that foe in the two path on the far turn, took over inside the five-sixteenths pole, shook clear at the quarter-pole, responded well under a right-handed crop in the stretch and held gamely under strong urging. COMMITMENT FUND dropped from the three path to the two path on the first turn, was reserved off the pace, raced inside to the two path on the far turn, was roused at the five-sixteenths pole, came out to the four path into upper stretch, chased outside into the final furlong, gained into the final sixteenth, drew alongside the winner late and just missed while far clear for the place. IZE A RUNNER went around the first turn in the two to three path, settled off the pace, was urged along late on the backstretch, traveled around the far turn in the two then three path, was driven into the stretch in the five path, drifted in inside the three-sixteenths pole and was along for the show. VEBLEN came inward at the start, settled while saving ground, was urged along on the final turn and failed to respond. CHILI PALMER came outward just after the start, dropped from the six path to the four path on the first turn, settled on the outside, was urged along in the four path on the far turn and failed to respond. GADGET PLAY was taken under a tight hold while dropping from the five path to the three path on the first turn, was rated off the pace, came under urging around the nine-sixteenths pole, chased in the three then four path on the far turn, drifted inward into upper stretch and faltered.
