ON THE HILL broke out at the start bumping MAN IN FINANCE, chased five then four wide under a ride from three furlongs out, went eight to nine wide into upper stretch, closed well outside and was up in the final jumps to the finish, then prevailed going away to the wire. MAN IN FINANCE got bumped at the start by the aforementioned foe breaking outwards, chased five then four wide patiently handled until set down spinning five to six wide into upper stretch, rallied to poke a head in front a furlong out, dug in dueling to the finish and was caught in tandem in the last jumps to the finish. CRESCENDO'S REIN struck the off side stall at the start, showed the way early on before being displaced from command five furlongs out when ROOFER took over, raced four then three wide in closest aim of that rival, got joined by the aforementioned foe midway on the turn and advanced on the front seizing command at the five-sixteenths, swung four wide for home, dug in under a drive and was headed a furlong out dueling with MAN IN FINANCE to his outside, switched leads awkwardly at the sixteenth marker, then got caught in concert with his main rival in the final strides to the line. LEO'S REWARD chased two to three paths off the inside down the backstretch and then four wide through the turn ridden along from the seven-sixteenths, went seven to eight wide into upper stretch, kept on under a drive and was outkicked. CHIEF LIAM chased along the inside and then just off the inside under a ride from three furlongs out, angled three to four wide into upper stretch, made no impact. ROOFER stumbled at the start under hustling and broke near the top despite it, advanced on CRESCENDO'S REIN, who led early, and took over the front five furlongs out, showed the way in hand along the inside, came under coaxing near the five-sixteenths and was displaced from command at that station, took the two path into upper stretch, folded, and was eased home to the finish.
