Footnotes
MINORINCONVENIENCE broke out at the start, prompted the leader from the outside in the three path, came under coaxing at the five-sixteenths, swung four wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command near the eighth pole, edged clear to the finish to score. FOURTH AND ONE got bumped at the start by RUMBLEYOUNGMANRUMBL, who broke inwards, cut the pace in hand just off the inside under some pressure from the aforementioned foe to the outside, came under light coaxing near the quarter pole before being set down spinning three wide into upper stretch, dug in under threat and was collared just outside the eighth pole, ran on to chase the winner home and secure the place honors. TOGA TWIST hesitated at the start, then ducked inwards and conceded six to seven lengths to the front, chased briefly along the inside before tipping out four paths off the rail near the nine-sixteenths, came under coaxing and was rushed four wide through the turn closing in near the quarter pole, went six wide into upper stretch, dug in prominent to the eighth pole, then weakened through to the wire. RUMBLYOUNGMANRUMBL broke in at the start bumping FOURTH AND ONE, chased three then two wide under a ride from the five-sixteenths, angled three to four wide at the top of the stretch, tired. There was a Stewards' Inquiry into the start focusing on TOGA TWIST. After review, it was determined that TOGA TWIST had caused his own problems at the break and the result was allowed to stand prior to the race being declared official.
